Frauscher 650 Alassio: Second Generation

2 minutes

Eleven years ago, the Frauscher 650 Alassio celebrated its premiere. Now, the Austrian shipyard is launching the second generation of Europe’s most successful premium electric yacht.

The new Frauscher 650 Alassio defends its position at the top of the market with a multitude of updates. Highlights in design, user-friendliness, and workmanship continue to set the model apart from the crowd. Michael Frauscher, Managing Director and responsible for the development and production of the new edition explains: ‘After 250 units produced, it was time to take the 650 Alassio to a new level – to give it a more valuable look and more intense feel.’

At front and centre, captains can enjoy a completely redesigned dashboard that features two cup holders and the latest entertainment options from Fusion Marine and JL Audio. Large touchscreens allow for easy operation and provide an uncluttered appearance. In the cockpit, guests enjoy a thoughtful seating arrangement with generous space. Optional diamond quilting is available on the wide upholstery for an even more exclusive feel.

The teak covering the bow, the floor, and the bathing platform is now standard on every Frauscher 650 Alassio. For the side profile of the boat, the designers took their cue from the Frauscher 1212 Ghost with its typical air intakes. They also redesigned the windscreen, provided for optional LED ambient lighting, and gave the stainless steel applications a redesign. With two additional retractable stainless steel cleats, it is now easier to safely moor the Frauscher 650 Alassio.

Not enough yet? The Frauscher engineers have actually pulled a few more innovations out of their hat: the engine compartment below the generous sun pad is now electrically operated, facilitating access to the storage space next to the batteries or to fold out the bimini sunshade. As the first boat in its class, the 650 Alassio is now also available with an optional bow thruster. Other options: a generous refrigerator, a high-end audio system, a teak table for the cockpit, and optional metallic paint in the colour of your choice.

In terms of engines and batteries, the Frauscher 650 Alassio has always been kept up to date. The four different engine options from 4.3 to 60 kW power and battery capacities from 10 to 40 kWh are also available for the second generation. ‘For shallow waters, we have developed a special version with a draught of only 45 cm,’ explains Michael Frauscher, who is sending the new model on a presentation tour this summer. Deliveries of the 650 Alassio will begin in April 2022.
