New Yachts Is Out Now: 300-Page Bilingual Summer Issue!
This year’s summer edition of our luxury yachting magazine in English and Croatian has no less than three hundred pages. Inspired by the great Swiss explorer Bertrand Piccard, at Yachts we believe that dreams spur innovation, and have translated that idea into a summer adventure full of aromas, fragrances and little pleasures, of magical landscapes, creative people and above all, top yachting.
Yachts Croatia in July issue brings reports on six sea trials that will surely brighten up your own yachting season. We have tested and reported on the relatively hidden gem that is Azimut S8, which due to the global pandemic did not get a chance to debut in Cannes 2019, but we got a chance to take her for a ride during Salone Nautico di Venezia.
Our cover story is another debut, the lovely Absolute 60 Fly whose innovative stern cockpit and master cabin make her as interesting as she is comfortable. The third yacht we were lucky enough to test is a rather unique sailing boat, Solaris 60, with her million dollar looks, and the fourth the latest Bali multi-hull, the 4.6, a rising star in the charter segment.
Finally, interesting day cruisers De Antonio 42 Open and Technohull T7 are two cherries on top of this summer sundae, combining the most delicious ingredients into an experience that satisfies every taste.
Our navigation segment takes you on a detailed cruise in the waters of Vis, from the hidden treasures on the island’s northern shore, to the world-famous coves Stiniva and Budikovac. Beloved among hedonist yachting crowds, the island of Vis is known for gastronomy, so we have tasted the menu of several restaurants in the interior serving all the delicious produce of the island fields, and suggested those that will perfectly complement your summer sailing with a deliciously exotic gastronomic experience.
Those who prefer northern Adriatic – or are just passing through those waters – will surely enjoy reading about one of its most delightful islands, Rab, locally known as the happiest place in the Adriatic, as well as five coves in the vicinity of a yachting favorite, marina Punat.
Lovers of all things Med, especially gastronomy, sophisticated vacations and luxury will enjoy our pieces on Adriatic castles, Nikola Basić’s Villa Nai 3.3 on Dugi otok, as well as our reports on restaurants Cap Aureo in Rovinj and Tapasake in Montenegro, in the One & Only Portonovi resort, both accessible by yacht.
For this summer issue, we have talked to the aforementioned Bertrand Piccard, as well as several individuals pushing the boundaries in the world of sports and the yachting industry. It was our honor to interview one of the world’s most famous naval architects, Juan Kouyoumdjian, the man responsible for the recently launched revolutionary ClubSwan 125; sailor extraordinaire Peter Burling, the New Zealand wizard who has won the America’s Cup twice, and visionary Croatian shipbuilder Roman Pičuljan.
Our summer specials – Yachts Woman and Superyacht – bring detailed reports on Chenot Spa, a place where healthy living is approached with revolutionary zeal; an interview with our very own tennis star Donna Vekić and her new project DNNA; and inspirational stories on the movers and shakers of the Adriatic charter industry.
Finally, feast your eyes and feed your imagination on the latest from the world of fine watchmaking (spoiler: golden watches are back) and water toys.
