Azimut|Benetti Group and D–Marin are starting work on the marina in Livorno, which will have a capacity of 815 berths. The marina on the north-western Italian coast will thus become one of the prestigious yachting destinations in the Mediterranean as a result of the common desire to encourage the growth of nautical tourism.
The joint investment of the Azimut|Benetti group and D-Marina, the design of which is due to the architectural office Archea from Florence, will bring one of the most important marinas in the Mediterranean to the city of Livorno. It is expected that the entire project will be completed by June 2026, while the first parts of Marina Livorno will be available to sailors even before the scheduled deadline.
The value of the investment is estimated at approximately 15 million euros, and the project includes the renovation of the pier and meeting space, as well as premium facilities for entertainment and recreation. More than 220 square meters of space will be reserved for restaurants, 60 square meters for bars, while 250 square meters will be organized for offices.
Like all D-Marin marinas, Marina Livorno will apply with particular care the highest environmental standards that it plans to achieve thanks to the strong commitment of the Azimut|Benetti group and D-Marin to creating sustainable marinas that will benefit current and future generations. The marina will use natural elements such as trees and hedges instead of fences, solar panels to produce a significant amount of energy, and all green areas will be irrigated with collected rainwater.
In addition to marinas in Italy, D-Marin and the Azimut|Benetti Group are developing an integrated network of marinas from 2023 to encourage the growth and development of nautical tourism in the Mediterranean.
