A Prime Location in an Award-Winning Marina
Located in the award-winning superyacht marina D-Marin Mandalina, the resort offers stunning views of Šibenik Old Town, one of the oldest Croatian cities, with over 950 years of rich history.
Intimate Scale, Resort-Level Facilities
With only 69 rooms, suites, and 3 villas, D-Resort Šibenik offers an intimate, boutique atmosphere combined with spacious resort facilities, including a spa, gym, two pools, and several dining venues. Unique contemporary architecture and panoramic views of the Šibenik archipelago make the hotel an excellent choice for leisure travellers seeking a relaxed yet luxurious Adriatic escape.
Just 30 minutes away from some of the most beautiful national parks it is the perfect starting point for discovering Croatia's hidden treasures. The hotel combines a unique range of services to create an exclusive yet relaxed atmosphere in which guests always feel welcome.
Architecture Rooted in Dalmatian Tradition
Concrete is the leitmotif that connects all the facilities within the resort. White concrete lines also define the rooms, all of which feature floor-to-ceiling glass walls overlooking the Adriatic Sea. The villas and Yacht Club present a raw concrete exterior, referencing the traditional way of house construction in Dalmatia while preserving the region's authentic character. Each villa is unique and asymmetrical, and when viewed from the marina, they appear to emerge from the rock. With this concept, architect Nikola Bašić has redefined the expected paradigm of luxury, offering a distinctive vision of beauty.
Where Interior and Exterior Become One
The most important spatial feature of the project is the fluid boundary between interior and exterior: the exterior enters the building, while the interior often extends beyond its physical limits. Frames of the Mediterranean landscape thus become part of the interior, while wooden linings—along with fittings and lighting—extend outward to shape the exterior. This spatial concept is particularly well suited to the Mediterranean climate and lifestyle.
A Design Language Built on Contrast and Cohesion
The interior design concept is based on the contrast between rough concrete construction and lighter materials, primarily wood.
The aim was to create the impression of floating furniture, which is why wardrobes, commodes, and nightstands in the accommodation are lifted off the floor, while shelves in the lobby are mounted on metal bars.
To achieve a sense of cohesion, consistent interior design themes, details, colours, and materials are used across the buildings of D-Resort: the hotel, yacht club and three villas.
