Martinis Marchi Sailing Challenge: Sailing, Friendship, and Care for the Sea

Organized by Martinis Marchi marina, the 11th Martinis Marchi Sailing Challenge took place as an annual gathering featuring a non-competitive sailing challenge that connects charter companies, partners, and friends of the award-winning boutique marina.

The event provides an opportunity to thank the people who, throughout the season, work together to create nautical experiences for numerous guests on the Adriatic. On the exhibition regatta route around the islets in front of Maslinica, this year the fastest crew was Adriatic Sailing on the sailboat More Fun, ahead of Ultra Sailing and Noa.

A special contribution to the event was also made by six traditional gajeta boats with lateen sails, including four from Hvar, one from Slatine, and one from Maslinica, reminding us of the importance of preserving Dalmatian maritime heritage.

Alongside the sailing challenge, an important part of the program was the traditional underwater cleanup of Maslinica bay and the collection of donations for the local Osmijeh association, which operates in the field of social integration for all age groups on the island of Šolta.

After sailing, the gathering continued with the culinary offerings of the Martinis Marchi restaurant managed by the Biberon Group, live music, and the awards ceremony for the crews. The traditional raffle brought prizes such as a marina berth, an overnight stay in the castle, and a dinner for two.

Combining sport, gastronomy, maritime heritage, and environmental responsibility, the Martinis Marchi Sailing Challenge 2026 has once again confirmed the importance of nurturing long-standing partnerships and a shared love for the sea, tradition, and togetherness.
