CRN Amor à Vida Review: A 67m Tribute to the ‘Love for Life’
Nuvolari Lenard design meets bespoke luxury in this CRN masterpiece. Blending sophisticated materials and private wellness with hybrid innovation, she is the ultimate modern superyacht
Italian shipyard CRN has presented M/Y Amor à Vida, a magnificent yacht with a length of 67.55 metres and a gross tonnage of 1447 GT. The yacht has been shown at the Palm Beach Show for the first time in March and we are happy to be able to describe a glimpse of the beauty she carries.
Vision behind Amor à Vida
She is another example of fruity collaboration which CRN has with a design studio Nuvolari Lenard, who sign the exteriors, while the interiors were created in a joint effort of CRN with Interior Art Director from Nuvolari Lenard Valentina Zannier.
CRN M/Y Amor à Vida spans six decks and can accommodate 14 guests and 17 crew. The guest cabins are redistributed between the owner’s suite on the Upper Deck, a full-beam VIP cabin forward on the Main Deck, and four VIP cabins on the Lower Deck. Born as Project Maranello, the origins of the design lie in the owner’s passion for the world of luxury cars.
Exterior styling
The exterior styling has a sophisticated elegance that showcases sleek, taut, flowing, powerful and sculpted lines, revealing a strong identity. The striking curved lines of the yacht’s silhouette sweep down from the bow on the Upper Deck to the beach club and merge into the wake when cruising.
On all the decks, full-beam glazing floods the settings with natural light and establish constant contact with the water. Amor à Vida means Love for life in Portuguese and embodies the owner’s philosophy of life, providing a ‘vehicle’ to explore the world’s oceans and seas.
Interior design and onboard luxury
All the guest areas, including the lounges and outdoor spaces, are fitted with easy-to-use home automation and entertainment systems managed directly using tablets and QR codes, enabling an advanced automation of all the areas.
The detailing in the interiors is meticulously designed, used to create a language of discreet luxury. The pale, muted colour tones alternate not only on the walls, ceilings and floors, but also on the freestanding furniture, in a carefully crafted colour continuum.
As a main trait of the colour mood board of the interiors, the peacock blue is the fil rouge, which embodies the owner’s great passion for the sea. The flowing volumes also conjure up a fluid and elegant aesthetic of the lines, not only in the yacht’s silhouette but also in the interiors, where in fact there are no sharp corners or edges.
Hybrid propulsion system and performance
Innovative solutions are used to power Amor à Vida: the hybrid propulsion system, which increases the fuel consumption efficiency, translates into smooth, silent cruising. The superyacht is powered by two MTU main engines (12V4000 M63 1500kW@1800rpm) and two synchronous AC electric motors by Siemens Energy (400V and 200kW each), delivering a top speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots, and is IMO TIER III certified.
Main deck: Social spaces and living areas
The Main Deck integrates the interior and exterior spaces, creating continuity and a sense of openness in even more extensive social areas on board. The aft deck has a generous welcome and living area organised around a large swimming pool. It features a transparent bottom – which lights up the underlying beach club – and peacock-coloured mosaic tiles with hydromassage jets for absolute relaxation.
The furnishings in the aft deck’s lounge and welcome area are all custom made, including two generous oval-shaped up & down tables, plus two curved sofas from which to watch the drop-down TV screen concealed in the ceiling. There is a skylight in the floor to illuminate the beach area below with natural light.
A large, sliding, windproof glass panel leads to the the impressive main lounge. It echoes the owner’s desire to enjoy this space with his loved ones, surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows offering spectacular views outside.
The ceilings clad in polished sycamore, alternating with pale nubuck inserts, create a velvety, natural atmosphere, while the columns are entirely clad in hand-stitched leather to add more character to the space. The floor of this living area is covered in prized Java teak.
The dining area is designed for more formal occasions, featuring a completely custom oval table with an exclusive design seating up to 12 guests.
On the opposite side, the classic American bar alongside it is a unique prestigious work of art, it is created from plaster casts of marine ropes laid out horizontally – alternating with teak inserts – and it features a top crafted from a single piece of crystal quartzite.
The marine rope is a pattern found in many elements: from the top of the American bar to the furniture in the living space of the Main Deck, as a symbol of owner’s love for cruising and the life onboard.
Further forward is the generous living area, furnished with a custom sofa and a large TV screen. Continuing along the deck, the central lobby reveals the meticulous consistency required by the owner in the geometrical designs developed: the custom teak and metal floor reprises a meticulously crafted, circular graphic design, requiring extreme precision, symbolising craftsmanship at its most exquisite.
Harmoniously integrated within the geometric scheme is the spacious circular elevator – connecting all decks of the superyacht up to the Bridge Deck. The long corridor extending from the lobby to the bow leads to the full-beam guest suite.
The layout of the suite is designed to be split into two cabins by a moving partition. As desired by the owner, each guest cabin on the yacht is decorated in a different colour, in this case peacock blue, complemented by two types of wood (teak and sycamore).
Lower deck: Beach club, wellness and VIP cabins
On the lower deck, the beach club on CRN M/Y Amor à Vida was designed right from the outset as a space offering total well-being, the area features three fold-down sections at the water’s edge. The beach club has a lounge with a fitness area and wellness spa, featuring two large fold-down walls to enjoy contact with the sea.
The fitness equipment can be used both in the area with the lowered floor, as well as on a terrace that opens out on the starboard side, the ideal location for gym gear or a standing bike, as well as for a water-level work-out.
The wellness area consists of a sauna, a steam room with understated styling and clad entirely in travertine marble, and a day head. Completing the beach club is an oasis of relaxation with a fold-down wall overlooking the sea in the fully appointed massage room.
The Lower Deck features the four VIP cabins with en-suite bathrooms, each decorated in a different colour, red, blue, orange and yellow – the four colours chosen together with sophisticated custom-made furniture and furnishings – define an expertly designed setting featuring sophisticated woods, leathers and fabrics. In each private bathroom, the washbasins with Taj Mahal marble vanity tops are positioned opposite the windows.
Owner’s private oasis on the upper deck
The upper deck is reserved for the owner. In the stern, the guests can enjoy a generous multi-purpose outdoor space, thanks to a large custom-made teak table with marble inserts that can seat up to 16 guests, for convivial moments in the open air to share with family and friends.
The exterior space is completed by two large custom-made curved sofas in beige leather, paired with two central low tables featuring built-in bioethanol fireplaces. The sky lounge is a multifunctional space, with a lounge area featuring comfortable custom-made sofas and armchairs arranged around two coffee tables and refined sculptures that are the perfect match for the gaming table, and the screening wall. of light between exterior and interior.
The lobby leads to the rest of the owner’s apartment: the owner suite, a panoramic oasis of privacy and refinement consisting of the three main spaces. The study has a floor-to-ceiling sliding glass door to access the side walkway and offers sea views throughout. The polished sycamore interior decor, with curved finishings, reflects the style of the rest of the superyacht.
One of the two doors leads to the panoramic owner suite, which is surrounded by large floor-to-ceiling windows offering 180-degree views and looks out onto the comfortable and functional outdoor area in the bow. One of the design details is the skylight above the double bed, which offers an infinite view of the sky and the stars.
The owner bathroom is the result of a special design process and artisanal craftsmanship, which made it possible to reproduce the complex geometries specified by the owner. The space is generously sized and there was a special focus on the stylistic continuity of the interiors, involving the curvature of the walls and heated floors that are adorned with wave onyx, as are the bathtub top and the steam room. The walls are ribbed Taj Mahal marble crafted strip by strip, and the rest of the bathroom is polished sycamore.
The elegant bathtub, with the same ribbed Taj Mahal marble covering, runs parallel to the sea-facing windows, mirroring the two washbasins with vanity area. The owner can also enjoy the wellness area with steam room function. Further forward, a spacious and multifunctional private outdoor living and social area unfolds.
Bridge Deck: Outdoor recreation and entertainment
Additional outdoor area is on the Bridge deck, the multi-purpose outdoor recreational and social area in the stern features an additional solarium area for guests to relax in: a Jacuzzi tub and sunbathing area that connects to the outdoor lounge and the American bar with a crystal quartzite top, also fitted with an Italian pizza oven capable of baking up to four pizzas.
The deck is completed by the Wheelhouse, which is clad entirely in teak and leather. The printed leather cladding on both ceiling and walls has a decorative motif featuring a detailed map of an area chosen specifically by the owner, adding a personal and bespoke touch.
Chery on the top is the small deck above, organised as a large sunbathing area with movable backrests, which can quickly be transformed into a private cinema under the stars.
From Bugatti-inspired limos to chase boats
The tenders and toys are housed in the full-beam garage at the tip of the bow. The main tender is the custom limo tender, featuring hallmarks reminiscent of Amor à Vida’s lines and bespoke interiors inspired by Bugatti. The second one is a traditional Ribeye model YT602 tender, with a length of 6.2 metres and equipped for water skiing.
This area also offers a wide selection of water toys, including jet skis, water bikes, wakeboards, kayaks, a Jobe Binar Towable SUP, Seabobs and diving gear.
Completing Amor à Vida’s on-board equipment is a high-performance 43CC Mag Bay chase boat. Powered by three Mercury 600 outboard engines, the boat is designed to cater to a wide range of guest activities, from excursions to water sports involving towable toys.
Primarily designed for private use, M/Y Amor à Vida is also available for charter during selected periods, offering an exclusive glimpse into CRN’s bespoke vision of luxury yachting.
