French luxury yacht builder Prestige has announced the launch of the M8 EVO, the evolution of its flagship M8 power catamaran from the acclaimed M Line series. Conceived specifically as a pure motor yacht, the M8 EVO refines the multihull concept by combining the sleek, elegant silhouette of a traditional monohull with the vast living volumes, exceptional stability, and efficiency of a twin hull architecture. The model will make its official World Premiere at the upcoming Cannes Yachting Festival 2026.

Exterior refinements and enhanced open air living

The exterior silhouette of the M8 EVO introduces three key design evolutions: newly sculpted hull glazing, a refined black fashion plate, and a completely reimagined hardtop structure. Together, these enhancements create a more streamlined profile and visually harmonious presence on the water.

Life aboard is centered around seamless open spaces and fluid movement. Direct owner feedback led to structural refinements, including the removal of the internal staircase and redesigned hardtop supports.

The flybridge now spans the full beam of the vessel, forming an expansive, light filled open air salon with panoramic sea views. At the stern, a reconfigured cockpit serves as a vast waterfront terrace, offering an intimate connection to the ocean.

Interior architecture: A penthouse on the water

Designed in collaboration with Garroni Design and interior designer Valentina Motta, the interior reflects a modern interpretation of Art Deco glamour and modernist architecture. The main deck features a relocated starboard galley and dining area near the helm, complete with a dedicated bar, optimizing crew flow and discrete guest service.

The full beam owner’s suite introduces a new luxury standard, configured as a private penthouse at sea. It features an expanded walk in wardrobe split into two distinct personal zones, an integrated office space, and a dedicated lounge transition area leading into the master ensuite.

Responsible cruising and eco conscious engineering

Engineered with a dedicated power catamaran hull by Marc Lombard Yacht Design Group, the M8 EVO naturally reduces rolling both underway and at anchor. The optimized hull form significantly cuts fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions compared to monohulls of equivalent internal volume.

Environmental responsibility is further emphasized through the integration of sustainably sourced woods, vegetable tanned leathers, and low impact interior finishes. An optional Silent Mode Pack, integrated with solar panel arrays and smart energy management, enables silent, zero emission anchoring for extended periods without noise or generator vibration.
