This spring, Maistra’s Monte Mulini hotel in Rovinj reopens its doors with a clear focus on elevating the guest experience to a new level. Alongside renovated accommodation units, restaurants, and shared spaces, the hotel enters the new season with a refreshed identity that blends contemporary design with refined elegance. 

The most significant addition comes in the form of the Riva Destinations concept, an exclusive lifestyle experience by the legendary Italian brand Riva, part of the Ferretti Group. This partnership places Rovinj within an elite circle of global destinations, alongside Monaco, Venice, Paris, Naples, Como, and Mallorca, that offer the complete Riva experience beyond the world of yachting.

Riva design as a spatial experience

Within the Riva Destinations concept, the hotel introduces the Riva Lounge and Riva Privée, spaces that reinterpret the timeless aesthetic of Riva boats. The Riva Lounge restaurant, situated on the hotel’s lowest level, seamlessly connects a bright interior with a panoramic sea-facing terrace, creating a fluid transition between indoor and outdoor spaces. 

In contrast, the Riva Privée offers a more intimate setting, meticulously designed for private gatherings and special moments. The interior design draws inspiration from the 1950s and the spirit of Dolce Vita, utilizing rich materials such as mahogany, ribbed maple, polished steel, and chrome, all complemented by signature aquamarine tones.

Authentic elements, including Aquariva lamps and chairs inspired by the iconic Aquarama model, further emphasize the brand's heritage, while archival photographs create a discreet and elegant link to its storied history.

The sea as an extension of the stay

Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy the Riva Aquariva Special, a new version of one of the most legendary models in the Riva portfolio and a symbol of its contemporary spirit.
