Discover remote locations, but with easy access and streamlined brokerage

The voyages are based on a new Lagoon 51 catamaran, a spacious sailing yacht well-equipped, with room for six to 12 guests, for year-round sailing in Northern climates and with knowledgable local crew fully certified with extensive guiding experience.

Eric Ryan was raised on the water in Alaska, before coming to Norway to ski during his teenage years. He has been exploring Norway and the Arctic as a scientist and photographer, ever since, and Marte, his wife, is a Norwegian local and the 5th generation to manage Nordvær’s Island farm.

Her Nordic heritage defines the tastes and comforts on board. The highlight is on Norwegian culinary traditions, with exceptional dining experiences, featuring gourmet meals prepared with the freshest local ingredients, including seafood caught straight from the Arctic waters by the guests themselves (halibut, cod, scallops), and products from Eric and Marte's farm.

Norwegian culinary traditions

Beyond the natural beauty, the Helgeland coast is full of cultural attractions, including a UNESCO World Heritage, and countless viking sites. Therefore, Nordvær provides its guests immersive cultural experiences, from visiting local communities to learning about the region's history and traditions, offering a deeper understanding of the Norwegian way of life.

Norweigan dining experience

Despite Nordvær's remote location, there is easy access from Europe, with direct flights to Oslo during much of the year. In addition, Nordvær has partnered with Mysea, a leading international boutique Central Agent, with offices in Croatia, ensuring streamlined brokerage and a fantastic customer experience end to end. So set sail on this tailor-made journey along the vibrant Helgeland coastline in the far north, and with a bit of adventurous spirit discover its spectacular beauty.
