Record-Breaking Year of New Deliveries for Lürssen
The year 2026 has set an unprecedented benchmark for Lürssen, with the German shipyard delivering six highly distinct superyachts in a single calendar year: Odisea, Deep Blue, Boardwalk, O3, Nausicaä, and Nixie. Ranging from 75 to 140 metres, these vessels have already departed northern Germany to begin worldwide cruising, expanding the yard's operational fleet to over 30 yachts exceeding 100 metres.
The lineup underscores the shipyard's commitment to custom engineering over fixed design conventions. Heading to the Monaco Yacht Show 2026, Nixie features a hybrid diesel-electric propulsion architecture with battery storage, an aft pool suspended over the swim platform, and a 270 square metre beach club with a flush hydraulic transom hatch. Propulsion and energy advancements extend across the fleet, with recent deliveries introducing battery systems capable of silent overnight anchoring and advanced diesel-electric setups featuring electric-motor stabilisers.
Each vessel reflects custom responses to complex owner briefs. O3 is built for remote expedition capability, while Odisea reimagines the main salon as a glass-enclosed Beach House. Designed by Marc Newson, Nausicaä incorporates expansive curved glass wrap-arounds, a glass Skydome, a split-level aft atrium, and a hydraulic sledge for tender retrieval. By contrast, the classic lines of Boardwalk integrate a hidden sliding hatch and retractable stairwell on the main deck. Representing hundreds of thousands of build hours per hull, the 2026 fleet highlights Lürssen's technical capacity to execute widely varied custom naval architecture.
