Rossinavi Superyacht '2 Ladies' Restored to Glory After Ambitious Capax Refit
The name says it all. When the motor yacht '2 Ladies' was commissioned in 2010, the brief was anything but ordinary: two friends and business partners wanted a 46-metre yacht that could accommodate both simultaneously, each with his own lady, in two master suites of equal grandeur and dimensions. That unusual premise shaped everything about the vessel, her layout, her character, and eventually her name.
Designed by Frank Mulder and fitted out with interiors by Tommaso Spadolini, she was delivered by the Italian shipyard Rossinavi in 2012 as the sixth yacht built entirely under the yard's own brand. More than a decade later, '2 Ladies' has returned to the Mediterranean following an extensive refit managed by Capax, a company from Šibenik, Croatia.
The relationship between Capax and '2 Ladies' did not begin with this refit. A first shipyard period in 2023/24, covering technical enhancements and steel repairs, was delivered on time and within budget, establishing the trust that led the owners to return with a far more ambitious scope. The major refit of 2025, carried out at Capax’s affiliate company Adria Docks shipyard in Trogir, encompassed the installation of new generators, the full replacement of teak decking across all decks, and a complete repaint of the hull and superstructure.
Mulder Design, the original Dutch naval architecture studio behind the yacht, was engaged to redesign the sundeck bar and lounge, delivering a contemporary layout in Corian Arctic Ice, stainless steel, and teak that sits seamlessly within the yacht's existing character.
'A project of this scale demands both technical precision and genuine care for the vessel. '2 Ladies' has been with her owners since the beginning. The yacht was built for them, by them, and their connection to this yacht is evident in every detail. When Capax was entrusted with the refit, we understood that the standard expected was nothing less than exceptional. All works were executed within the owner’s expectations, and we are proud to deliver a yacht that is not simply repaired but truly renewed,' said Teo Petričević, CEO of Capax Ltd.
The refit was carried out in close collaboration with a team of specialized partners. Ocean Independence served as the yacht management company throughout the project. Wrede Consulting provided coating consultancy, ensuring the highest standards in surface preparation and paint application.
Classification was overseen by Lloyd's Register, guaranteeing full compliance with current maritime regulations. During the steelwork phase, 3D scanning was used to ensure a precise fit for new steel plates and the hull structure, a level of technical rigour that significantly contributed to the overall integrity of the vessel.
After months of rejuvenation and transformation, '2 Ladies' departed Trogir, returning to the Mediterranean ready for the 2026 charter season. The result is a vessel restored to the spirit of her original build: meticulous in detail, confident in performance, and unmistakably herself.
'We would like to extend our warmest thanks to the owners, the crew, and all those who contributed to the successful completion of this project. Their trust, professionalism, and dedication made this possible,' Petričević concluded.
