Central Europe’s Biggest Boat Show Sells Out Two Months Ahead
This year’s Biograd Boat Show will see in in water expansion of 2000 m2 as well as an 800 m2 expansion of hall C. More than 500 new vessels are expected, up to 24m in length
The Biograd Boat Show Experience
The Biograd Boat Show has grown into one of the leading nautical events in Europe, attracting international visitors and exhibitors while serving as the central meeting point for Croatia’s marine industry. Traditionally held in October, the show marks the close of the boating season and the start of a new business year with a busy programme of exhibitions, conferences, and evening entertainment.
Its success rests on two pillars: Croatia’s standing as a major boating destination and the organisation of Ilirija d.d., which manages Marina Kornati alongside local hotels, restaurants, and facilities. The intimate resort setting and Adriatic backdrop give the event a distinct character, with daytime business flowing into evening gatherings in the town centre.
Central Europe’s Gateway to the Sea
Biograd has long been a key transit hub for boaters in Croatia, home to one of the world’s largest yacht charter fleets and a calendar of regattas that attract sailors from across Europe. Each year, the show adds to the town’s international recognition, reinforcing its role as a gateway between Central Europe and the Adriatic.
Business Meets Pleasure – Biograd B2B
As the country’s largest industry gathering, the event also hosts Biograd B2B, a business-to-business platform that connects exhibitors, fleet operators, brokers, and suppliers. Registered participants can schedule meetings and take part in networking activities throughout the show.
Among the highlights is the 9th HGK Croatian Nautical Days congress, organised by the Croatian Chamber of Economy from 22 to 24 October 2025. The programme includes industry association meetings, presentations, and networking sessions focused on advancing Croatia’s boating sector.
The 7th Croatia Charter Expo, held in Hall D on the same dates, brings together Croatia’s charter fleet operators—representing more than 3,000 yachts—with international agents and brokers.
International Standards
The Biograd Boat Show is a member of the International Federation of Boat Show Organisers (IFBSO), aligning with international standards and sharing its own business model as part of the federation’s development.
Looking Ahead
From its beginnings as a regional fair, the Biograd Boat Show has grown into a key event on the global boating calendar. Its success reflects close cooperation between organiser Ilirija d.d., long-term exhibitors, the City of Biograd, the Croatian Tourist Board, and the Chamber of Economy.
