Experience the Bluegame BGF45: Powered by America's Cup Tech
The BGF range makes its world première at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2025 with a multihull that glides over the waves rather than cutting through them
Bluegame, the Italian brand of the Sanlorenzo Group known for its bold and disruptive approach, has announced the launch of the BGF45 - the first model in its new BGF range. The revolutionary multihull will make its world debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2025, running from 9 to 14 September, marking a milestone in Bluegame’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and technological innovation in yachting.
BGF range: The next chapter in yacht performance
Building on the success of the BGM, the BGF range represents Bluegame’s latest evolution in multihull design, reaffirming the brand’s focus on sustainable innovation.
Drawing on the expertise gained from the BGH-HSV, the world’s first hydrogen-powered foiling chase boat capable of 50 knots with zero emissions at the 37th America’s Cup, Bluegame has brought cutting-edge technology from competitive sailing into recreational yachting.
The result is a bold and disruptive new range. It is designed for visionary owners seeking something entirely new and unlike anything currently on the market.
Key to the BGF45’s development has been the collaboration with hydrodynamics experts Mario Caponnetto and Francis Hueber, who previously worked on the BGH-HSV. Their guidance helped refine the hull design and elevate performance, combining advanced engineering with Bluegame’s bold DNA. The BGF range redefines versatility, space, and efficiency, setting a benchmark for next-generation yachts that are daring, sustainable, and intimately connected to the sea.
From the America’s Cup to the future of yachting
The BGF45 delivers outstanding performance through strategic partnerships with Volvo, Garmin, and Siemens-Innovative Technology Partner. The 45-foot multihull features a foil-assisted system between its twin hulls, reducing drag and boosting speed, stability, and fuel efficiency by more than 40%. Powered by two Volvo Penta IPS engines, it offers smooth handling and cruising comfort even at speeds above 30 knots.
Collaborating with Luca Santella and Zuccon International Project, Bluegame has maximized the BGF45’s interior space, offering two cabins and a versatile third room. The exterior includes a spacious sundeck and a sleek beach area, enhancing the open-air lifestyle onboard.
With the BGF45, Bluegame sets a new standard for performance and sustainability, presenting a multihull that combines cutting-edge technology with practical luxury for the future of yachting.
