Leclerc's Lucky Number: F1 Star Takes Delivery of Riva 102' Corsaro Super Named Sedici
Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc has taken delivery of his newest yacht, a Riva 102’ Corsaro Super named Sedici. The launch took place this week at the La Spezia shipyard, marking the 20th unit produced in this particular series. Leclerc, who already owns a Riva 82’ Diva, worked with the shipyard to heavily personalize the vessel’s interior and functional spaces.
While the Corsaro Super is known for its standard sporty profile, Leclerc’s Sedici features several bespoke modifications. The driver opted for a combination of Minotti and Poliform furniture, moving away from standard shipyard packages to create a more contemporary living space. Personal touches extend to the hardware, with custom-selected door handles and specific material choices throughout the cabins.
The master suite features polished Calacatta Vagli Oro marble in the ensuite, while Corian Calacatta Greige was used for the remaining bathrooms. In terms of technology, the main lounge and master suite were fitted with specialized Bang & Olufsen audio systems. The outdoor areas were also modified for utility, including a custom bar on the flybridge equipped with an induction hob and dual refrigeration units.
'Charles’s passion for Riva, which is of course reciprocal, is a testament to quality and beauty that we welcome with boundless joy. If such a formidable driver and icon of style and elegance chooses once again one of our boats, it means that Riva, and in this case the magnificent 102’ Corsaro Super, offers unrivalled standards of beauty, liveability and technology. Many thanks once again Charles, have fun and enjoy the water on your new Riva!' said Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi.
Built for speed as much as leisure, Sedici is powered by two MTU engines producing 2,638 HP each. The yacht maintains a cruising speed of 24 knots and can reach a maximum of 28 knots. To handle the Mediterranean chop, the vessel is equipped with a comprehensive stabilization package that includes Sleipner Vector Fins and Seakeeper gyroscopic stabilizers, designed to minimize rolling both while moving and at anchor.
A significant portion of the deck plan was dedicated to the 35 square meter beach club. This area was designed for direct water access and includes an inflatable platform for water toys and a custom hauling ramp. These features highlight a shift toward a more active use of the yacht, reflecting the owner’s lifestyle.
Leclerc joins a growing list of athletes investing in high end maritime hardware. His peer George Russell currently operates a Pershing, while tennis star Carlos Alcaraz recently acquired a Sunreef Ultima 88.
