GX Superyachts Launches GX42 Ahead of Monaco Debut

Just two years after unveiling the GX Superyachts vision at the Monaco Yacht Show, the company is celebrating another defining milestone with the successful launch of the first GX42, the 42-metre flagship, which now enters final sea trials ahead of her eagerly anticipated world debut at the Monaco Yacht Show 2026.

Developed by the experienced team behind Greenline Yachts, the GX42 builds on more than 15 years of expertise in hybrid propulsion and energy management. She introduces those proven technologies into the superyacht world through an advanced parallel diesel-electric hybrid propulsion system, extensive integrated solar arrays and a large-capacity lithium battery bank, dramatically reducing emissions while delivering a quieter, more comfortable onboard experience.

'Today is an emotional milestone for everyone involved in GX Superyachts,' said yard owner Vladimir Zinchenko. 'Only two years ago we introduced a bold new vision for the future of superyachting in Monaco. Seeing the first GX42 enter the water proves that this vision has become reality. We are now looking forward to presenting her to the world at the Monaco Yacht Show, where the journey first began.'

The yacht's elegant exterior and sophisticated interior have been created by renowned Italian designer Marco Casali, whose seamless approach connects every onboard space through clean architectural lines, natural materials and understated luxury. The result is a yacht designed for extended cruising, relaxed family living and effortless connection with the sea.

'It is incredibly rewarding to see the GX42 exactly as we imagined her from the very first sketches,' said Marco Casali, founder of Too Design. 'Our ambition was to create a yacht that feels timeless rather than fashionable, where sustainability and elegance naturally complement one another. Watching her leave the shipyard for the first time is a special moment for the entire design team.'

Meanwhile, GX Superyachts continues to expand its portfolio, with development progressing on the Voyager 38 and Voyager 45 models, alongside plans for future GX35 and GX50 yachts as the brand builds out its range.
