GX Superyachts’ 42m Project Enters Final Phase
The countdown has begun for the highly anticipated debut of GX Superyachts’ first yacht, the striking GX42, as the 42 metre build enters its final outfitting phase ahead of a scheduled summer launch.
With construction now in its closing stages, the sleek, low profile superyacht is rapidly taking shape. Newly released images capture the transformation, revealing a refined masterpiece emerging from behind the scaffolding and signalling that the project remains firmly on track.
This milestone marks a significant moment for the seasoned team behind GX Superyachts. Interior finishing works are well advanced, with guest accommodation on the lower deck largely completed, including finely detailed joinery and elegantly appointed bathrooms. Attention is now turning to the owner’s suite on the main deck and the expansive saloon, designed as the social heart of the yacht.
Up on the sundeck, teak decking has been laid and awaits final caulking, while custom built furniture is in progress. The space is set to become a prime entertainment hub, soon to feature fitted sofas, tables and a large Jacuzzi. Below, in the wheelhouse, electronic and electrical installations are progressing steadily.
The interior, conceived by designer Marco Casali, is coming to life with a focus on understated sophistication. Natural tones and materials define the aesthetic, aligning with the yacht’s eco conscious credentials. Rich walnut panelling contrasts with white leather and lacquered finishes, while premium Italian fabrics add a crisp, contemporary touch to the upholstery.
'To see the interior we envisioned materialising so precisely is immensely rewarding,' said Casali. 'We set exceptionally high standards for finish and detailing, but this first GX Superyacht goes even further. It stands as a true statement of quality.'
The inaugural GX42 is set to spend her first season cruising the western Mediterranean and is scheduled to make an appearance at the Monaco Yacht Show from 25 to 28 September.
Meanwhile, GX Superyachts continues to expand its portfolio, with development progressing on the Voyager 38 and Voyager 45 models, alongside plans for future GX35 and GX50 yachts as the brand builds out its range.
