Canados Oceanic 143 Review: Imagination Becomes Reality

5 minutes

The flagship model of Roman builder Canados is a fascinating project that allows a magnificent journey into luxury and adventure, with increadible technical achievements

The Pinnacle of Exploration: Unveiling the Canados Oceanic 143

Oceanic line of Canados is not a novelty, but their biggest ‘family member’ absolutely is, not only because of her size, but of overall concept and performances which will leave you speechless. If you can imagine 42-meter yacht burning 60 litre per hour at 8.4 knots which at the same time can top 26 knots, this gives you a good glimpse of the technical aspect of the project. Add to that Transatlantic range, shallow draft (highly appreciated in parts of Caribbean), astonishing silence while sailing and total absence of vibrations.

The project was defined by very demanding Owner’s brief about mentioned performances, but also extended outdoor living spaces, generous interior volumes, ability to carry large toys and tenders and low operating and running costs. It is very hard to meet these expectations, but for Canados it was gladly accepted challenge, and what we saw at the end, it was just the beginning of fantastic boatbuilding journey.

Exploring the Oceanic 143’s Performance Capabilities

The final result speaks itself about Rome based builders, clearly saying that it is only one’s imagination which can limit them, putting Canados in very small group of boutique shipyards which can handle projects of this (technical) magnitude.

For this project special hull was developed, tested in tanks, with result of double stepped hull, unique planning bulb and keeled hull from bow to first step, triple tunnel drive and new generation of Caterpillar engines positioned far aft.

We had an opportunity to stay on board the yacht both at Cannes show and in Monaco when she was anchored in front of Port Hercule, and discovered part of her really unique nature. What you can see from the first sight is huge main deck space thanks to positioning superstructure in the front part of the yacht. One can do it only if construction remains light so Canados Oceanic 143 boasts cutting-edge technology.

The E-Glass hull offers four times the impact resistance of a steel hull, also eliminating corrosion issues. The superstructure, crafted from Kevlar/Aramat, reduces weight and lowers the centre of gravity, further enhancing the yacht’s performance and range.

Coming back from technical points, we were amazed with the setup on main deck, with five (!) different outdoor areas on 130 square meters of space. Stern bench seats, sun pads and infinity pool, 12 people deck seating, televisions, 12 people al-fresco dining table, coffee corner and full bar, it was all perfectly aligned on the main deck – and in front of the entrance of the spacious saloon. The main deck saloon and dining room is a true extension of the outdoor spaces.

Crafted for Grandeur: Stepping Aboard the Canados Oceanic 143

Lateral floor-to-ceiling windows transform the Canados Oceanic 143’s main deck saloon and dining room into an airy extension of the exterior decks

Custom-made in-house interiors were designed by famous superyacht designer, Michela Reverberi. The lateral floor to ceiling windows offers a spectacular sea view and flood this entire space with natural light. Onboard the Canados Oceanic 143, you will continue watching the water from anywhere you seat in the saloon or the dining area (interior is for 10 guests).

In the front part of the main deck there is a day head, wheelhouse with Captain’s cabin, and nice galley equipped by Boffi. The stairwell leads down to the crew quarters while access to the guest cabins on the lower deck or up to the Owner deck is also gained by very nice staircase.

The lower deck has four cabins for eight guests, two identical doubles with a corner sofa, king sized beds and enough space to deserve to be called VIPs, and two identical twins with convertible beds so these can be used as queen beds too. In the other hand, owner has the whole deck for himself.

The Owner’s Oasis: A Luxurious Master Suite Awaits

The Master deck comes with two private terraces, the one aft with private dining/breakfast table, wet bar, loungers and shades and the fore terrace access made from the bathroom or the owner’s corridor.

Like on the main deck, the décor is of Ziricote, a structured Mahogany wood, and walnut with bronze and stainless-steel inserts. The king-size bed, walk-through wardrobe, and ensuite with twin marbled sinks embody luxury while a glass shower adds a touch of sophistication. Floor-to-ceiling windows bathe the room in natural light, providing stunning views of the surrounding sea.

Unwind and Rejuvenate: The Spa and Wellness Experience

As a cherry on the top sits the sundeck, with an oversized Hammam for six to eight persons, a bar, sofas, loungers, and a forward-facing sun pad under the wing-shaped hardtop, providing the perfect setting for relaxation and entertainment. The addition to interior spaces is the transom garage offering enough volume to store all sorts of toys including two electric cars that will be launched using the hydraulic elevator and the ‘transformer’ platform. When cars are disembarked, this space becomes a gym above the water.

She also has a centrally located tender bay, accommodating a six meter tender and a host of water toys, where gyro stabilizers are positioned too. We wish this amazing project a successful future, and many more Oceanic models to be built on the wake of this remarkable yacht.
