In a way, Croatian captains have the easiest job in the world, because whatever destination they choose, guests will be delighted with the magnificent views that surround them. Still, there are some things to keep in mind. First and foremost, the sea is warmer down south than it is up north, and the weather is more stable, with more sunny days. The northern Adriatic is less visited and is the first choice for those who enjoy sailing through quieter places.

The largest number of marinas is located in the Middle Adriatic, which includes the Zadar, Šibenik and Split archipelagos. Likewise, it is also the most popular destination for motor boat charter in Croatia. The Dubrovnik archipelago, as a natural extension of the Middle Adriatic, is also very appealing for yachting. In high season, numerous motor boats sail back and forth between Split and Dubrovnik, by the stunning views of the islands ‘anchored’ between them.

Depending on your selected route, we will be happy to make motor boat charter in Croatia more interesting, based on your wishes. For example, we can recommend a winery or wine routes – seeing how Croatian wines surprise even the best connoisseurs with their quality – as well as a handful of excellent gastronomic oases. FAQ

How to charter a luxury yacht in Croatia?
Just call us :) You should first define the boundaries of your needs and budget. The most important is to determine the number of guests you need to accommodate because it dictates the size and number of cabins. You need to pay attention to the configuration of the cabins, double or twin, and also take care of the sizes of double beds. In general, yachts offer personalized service of high level, but the quality of service is related to number of crew. Based on prefilled preference list, we will make sure that your wishes are carefully executed. Finally, choose the period which suits you the best to make your yachting dreams come true.
How many guests are allowed on a yacht?
Yachts can accommodate up to 12 people, at maximum. The exceptions are the mini-cruisers that can operate with more cabins, and are small passenger ships. But, the realistic capacity of the yacht is limited by the number of cabins, which can be double or twin, and the number of sleeping places defines the number of guests which yachts can accommodate. Normally it varies between 6 and 12 guests. Some yachts have Pullman beds (extra bunk bed) that are often seen in children’s rooms, so for example, you can have 11 guests in a five-cabin yacht.
How to calculate the costs of renting a luxury yacht?
The yacht rental price always refers to a period of 7 days. The basic price of renting a luxury yacht includes the hire of the yacht, yacht's insurance and crew service. An additional cost is VAT of 13%, and the supplies, fuel, marina fees and all extra services, and are always covered by the APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) which is usually 30% of the charter fee. Delivery/return fees may also apply if the charter week does not start/end from the home port. The crew will take care that your every wish is realized, also based on the pre-filled Preference List.
Do you have to leave a tip on a yacht?
A tip for the crew is not mandatory, but it is common to leave 5-15% of the total charter fee. It depends completely on the level of your satisfaction. It is customary to leave the tip to the captain who will distribute it among the entire crew.
Can I choose a cruising route?
In case you have special wishes regarding the cruise itinerary, be sure to consult your charter broker. Namely, the cruising route primarily depends on the weather conditions, the speed of your yacht and the available berths in the marinas. Please note that the yacht's flag may restrict entry to some countries and that some countries require a visa when entering.
When is the best time to rent a yacht?
The best time is stretched from spring to autumn. In Croatia, the pre-season starts with Easter and lasts until the beginning of July. The weather is changeable with sea temperatures up to 23. The days are long and there are no big crowds at the anchorages and marinas. July and August are considered the peak of the season. The sea is warm with air temperatures higher than 30. It's pretty busy at sea, in bays and marinas. Guests who like crushes and night parties consider this an ideal period for a cruising vacation. September and October are ideal months for all lovers of romantic moments. The weather is still pleasant and warm, although the days are shorter. Prices in this period are lower and on islands there are no big jams - just like in the spring pre-season.
