Choosing the ideal yacht for 8 guests

Chartering a yacht for eight means balancing privacy and shared space. The right yacht has four staterooms, giving everyone their own cabin while offering common areas for gathering and relaxing. Yachts of this size combine sleek design with practical layouts for comfort and easy handling. Notable examples include the Benetti Classic 115' TO JE TO, a three-deck yacht with four en-suite cabins and a crew of six. Secundus is a Sanlorenzo SL78 with four cabins, a top speed of 30 knots, and stabilizers for a smooth ride. The Azimut 78 Fly pairs quiet IPS engines with refined design inside and out, ensuring a high-quality cruising experience.

Benefits of a small-group yacht charter

A charter for eight offers the perfect balance between privacy and togetherness. It allows for effortless planning and the flexibility to adapt your itinerary as you go. Whether with close friends or family, small groups find a natural rhythm, moments to come together and plenty of room to relax. With a dedicated crew focused on your needs, the experience is tailored precisely to your group’s pace and preferences.

Exclusive Croatian destinations for small groups

Croatia’s coast has many spots perfect for smaller groups. Sail from the quiet coves of the Elaphiti Islands to the charm of Korčula’s old town. Discover hidden beaches on Brač or stroll through the lively streets of Hvar. For something different, explore the less visited parts of Istria or cruise around the Kornati Islands where solitude meets striking landscapes. Routes can be designed to suit your interests, whether you want culture, nature, or simply calm waters.

Customized services for an intimate yacht charter

Service on smaller yachts often feels personal without being intrusive. From a captain who knows the local waters to a chef preparing meals just how you like, every detail is handled quietly and efficiently. Many yachts for eight come with extras like jacuzzis, water toys, and sun decks designed for relaxing or socializing. The crew adjusts to your group’s needs, making sure your time onboard feels effortless.

FAQ

Just call us :) You should first define the boundaries of your needs and budget. The most important is to determine the number of guests you need to accommodate because it dictates the size and number of cabins. You need to pay attention to the configuration of the cabins, double or twin, and also take care of the sizes of double beds. In general, yachts offer personalized service of high level, but the quality of service is related to number of crew. Based on prefilled preference list, we will make sure that your wishes are carefully executed. Finally, choose the period which suits you the best to make your yachting dreams come true.

In case you have special wishes regarding the cruise itinerary, be sure to consult your charter broker. Namely, the cruising route primarily depends on the weather conditions, the speed of your yacht and the available berths in the marinas. Please note that the yacht's flag may restrict entry to some countries and that some countries require a visa when entering.

The best time is stretched from spring to autumn. In Croatia, the pre-season starts with Easter and lasts until the beginning of July. The weather is changeable with sea temperatures up to 23. The days are long and there are no big crowds at the anchorages and marinas. July and August are considered the peak of the season. The sea is warm with air temperatures higher than 30. It's pretty busy at sea, in bays and marinas. Guests who like crushes and night parties consider this an ideal period for a cruising vacation. September and October are ideal months for all lovers of romantic moments. The weather is still pleasant and warm, although the days are shorter. Prices in this period are lower and on islands there are no big jams - just like in the spring pre-season.

The yacht rental price always refers to a period of 7 days. The basic price of renting a luxury yacht includes the hire of the yacht, yacht's insurance and crew service. An additional cost is VAT of 13%, and the supplies, fuel, marina fees and all extra services, and are always covered by the APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) which is usually 30% of the charter fee. Delivery/return fees may also apply if the charter week does not start/end from the home port. The crew will take care that your every wish is realized, also based on the pre-filled Preference List.

Yachts can accommodate up to 12 people, at maximum. The exceptions are the mini-cruisers that can operate with more cabins, and are small passenger ships. But, the realistic capacity of the yacht is limited by the number of cabins, which can be double or twin, and the number of sleeping places defines the number of guests which yachts can accommodate. Normally it varies between 6 and 12 guests. Some yachts have Pullman beds (extra bunk bed) that are often seen in children’s rooms, so for example, you can have 11 guests in a five-cabin yacht.

A tip for the crew is not mandatory, but it is common to leave 5-15% of the total charter fee. It depends completely on the level of your satisfaction. It is customary to leave the tip to the captain who will distribute it among the entire crew.
