Summer Starts at Amore Sea Club

Nestled along the vibrant Opatija waterfront, right next to the iconic Bevanda restaurant and hotel, Amore Sea Club opened the new summer season in style, bringing together guests for an evening of music, cocktails and seaside conviviality. Boasting a 70-metre pier and direct sea access, it is the perfect spot for arriving by boat, enjoying a morning coffee overlooking the bay, or spending a laid-back afternoon right by the water. 

The concept naturally builds upon Bevanda’s well-known identity, but wraps it in a more easygoing Mediterranean rhythm, creating a relaxed setting where gastronomy, wine and socialising naturally come together.

Yachting-inspired design

Stepping away from conventional coastal decor, the club’s bold visual identity and design are crafted to place Opatija firmly on the global yachting map. The architectural vision was brought to life by  by the architectural studio Dražul Glušica Arhitekti, while the space features playful pieces from Slide, the Milanese designer furniture brand.

The interior showcases distinct shapes created by renowned designers such as Paola Navone, Karim Rashid, Marcantonio, Roberto Paoli, and Favaretto&Partners, giving the entire venue a breezy yet chic character.

During the day, the lounge is ideal for a light lunch, a quick coffee, or a relaxing break on the shore. As the sun sets, the atmosphere shifts, transforming the evening hours into an informal gathering spot filled with music, signature cocktails, and stunning views of the Kvarner Gulf. 

From watching the sunset with a glass of sparkling wine to winding down in good company, Amore Sea Club embodies a relaxed Mediterranean lifestyle where the sea, socializing, and top-tier service take center stage.

A creative summer menu signed by Chef Filip Akrap

The club’s culinary identity is shaped by Chef Filip Akrap, who honed his skills in some of the region’s finest restaurants, including Pelegrini in Šibenik, Maslina Resort on Hvar, Nobilion at Ikador, Regent Porto Montenegro, and Bistro Apetit in Zagreb. 

His creative menu perfectly mirrors the club’s relaxed philosophy, offering light, fresh summer combinations tailored for warm days by the sea. The selection features imaginative, refreshing salads made with local ingredients, sushi rolls, sashimi, and tataki, as well as gourmet burgers with a modern twist and curated sweet bites.

A special highlight is the Wine & Cork concept, developed in partnership with Rijeka’s Wine&Co boutique. This collaboration brings a true mini-revolution to the local wine scene, allowing guests to enjoy exceptional regional and international labels.

A tradition spanning over half a century

Amore Sea Club is the latest chapter in a story that has unfolded on the Opatija coast for over fifty years. Its foundation is the Bevanda restaurant, which has held a prestigious spot on Kvarner's culinary scene since 1971. 

Over the decades, Bevanda has become a benchmark destination, drawing local foodies, nautical travelers, and visitors to Opatija alike. This tradition is built on a menu that celebrates seasonality, the daily catch of Adriatic fish, Kvarner scampi, and local ingredients, all complemented by a meticulously curated wine list.

In 2013, a new layer of exclusivity was added with the opening of the Bevanda Boutique Hotel, the first five-star property of its kind in the northern Adriatic. With just ten sea-facing rooms and suites, the hotel maintains a strict focus on privacy and a personalized guest experience. 

Floor-to-ceiling glass walls, contemporary design, and immediate proximity to the water create a seamless connection with the surroundings. Now, Amore Sea Club adds a fresh dimension to this legacy, expanding Bevanda’s offering beyond the traditional restaurant and hotel setup.
