Adriatic’s Most Beautiful Stage This Summer Is in Čikat
From haute gastronomy to sport and timeless classics, Čikat Bay brings together an international scene this season in a refined blend of sea, culture, and experience
Each season, Čikat Bay becomes one of the Adriatic’s most compelling cultural and lifestyle stages. On the island of Lošinj, Lošinj Hotels & Villas curates a calendar that brings collectors, chefs, athletes, and international guests into a setting shaped by pine forests, sheltered waters, and maritime heritage.
The season begins in spring and unfolds through a series of events that build towards its late-summer highlight. At the very start of May, gastronomy takes centre stage. Taste Slovenia, taking place from April 30 to May 3, brings together leading chefs and winemakers from the Northern Adriatic at the Michelin-starred Alfred Keller.
Through a multi-day program of dinners, tastings, and wine pairings, the event highlights the region’s shared culinary identity. This collaboration reflects that same identity, while offering visiting yacht owners access to private dinners and curated cellar experiences shaped by a unified creative direction.
Shortly after, the island shifts into a more dynamic rhythm. XTERRA Croatia Mali Lošinj, taking place from May 8 to 10, brings a three-day international program of races in open-water swimming, mountain biking, and trail running, drawing athletes from around the world.
In a similar timeframe, HIGHLANDER Lošinj offers a contrasting pace, guiding participants through a multi-day hiking experience across pine-lined trails, connecting them with the island’s microclimate and landscape through a slower, more immersive rhythm.
At the centre of the season stands Concours Croatia, set for September 3-6, a collector-level automotive gathering that presents rare and historic vehicles along the promenade of the bay.
Private previews, curated judging, and formal evening programs unfold across the terraces and historic villas of Boutique Hotel Alhambra, creating an atmosphere aligned with the world of yachts, design, and heritage craftsmanship. Arrival by sea becomes part of the choreography, with the bay offering natural shelter and immediate proximity to the event setting.
For Marin Komadina, Director of Conferencing and Events, these gatherings play a deeper role. 'Over time, these events form the soft infrastructure of the bay,' he notes. 'They influence its tempo, its audience, and its identity.' Each edition adds another layer to the cultural rhythm of Čikat Bay, shaping how the destination is experienced from both land and sea.
Throughout the year, the Adriatic frames gala evenings, morning swims, and terrace dinners overlooking the horizon.
Čikat Bay offers a naturally protected amphitheatre where curated gatherings unfold in rhythm with the sea, inviting yacht owners and their guests to anchor within an environment shaped by culture, precision, and place.
