The new wally comes back from the future to charm with her design and luxurious interiors, created around the idea of cruising hedonism

For the past 30 years, since 1994, Wally has been synonym with innovation and radical, space-faring yachting design, sure to turn heads wherever their yachts appear. In 2021, Wally debuted their series wallywhy, with the model wallywhy200. Last year in Cannes, they launched the second model in the series, wallywhy150, that like, her predecessor, attracted a lot of attention.

Combined with wally’s iconic sharp lines, the design gives the model a massive, robust, aggressive look

wallywhy150 boasts a tall hull with an almost completely enclosed main deck and an inverted bow that extends all the way to the top of the upper second, to the bridge, which gives this yacht a unique, sculptural appearance. Combined with Wally’s iconic sharp lines, the design gives the model a massive, robust, aggressive look.

The aft platform is integrated in the main deck, and its central part can be lowered under water. It is served by stairs, integrated into the stern. Right next to platform, there is a large sofa with a foldable, as well as the staircase leading to the upper deck on the port side. The aft, as well as the upper deck, is made in teak, material that’s becoming increasingly rare even in the megayacht segment.

The large and wide sliding door leads to the salon, where a large oval dining table seats eight, the living area serves a spacious black U-shaped sofa and a central TV cabinet.

This is also the central part of the yacht, as a long starboard corridor leads to the master cabin in the bow of the main deck, a semi-circular staircase leads to the guest cabins in the hull, while the passage leading to the galley also connects the staircase leading to the bridge and upper deck. Wally offers several different lounge layouts to meet all expectations.

The master cabin, located at the end of the long corridor leading down the starboard side of the yacht, offers a wonderful 180 degree view forward directly from its double bed, through the glass walls of the bow that give the series its unique look. The small sofa in the very bow is a cozy, pleasant space for enjoying in navigation. The en suite, located behind the bed headrest, boasts a spacious shower cabin, and gleaming luxurious black ceramics.

While the master cabin is decorated in silver tones, as if to match the silvery hue of the waves, other cabins in the hull are mostly decorated in light furniture, with white paneling and some elements in light brown, that enhance the feeling of spaciousness.

Below deck, there is enough space for two VIP cabins with double beds, and one guest cabin with two single beds, all with their en suites, while the two crew cabins, with bunk beds, are located in the bow and served by a dedicated staircase in the main deck galley.

The bridge is undeniably Wally, both inside and out. Pyramidal in shape, it is connected to a carbon T-top that covers most of the upper deck, while its tinted glazing continues towards the stern, providing protection from the wind, as well as opening the view.

The interior of is almost entirely black, and the thick partitions of large windshields, leaning at sharp angle, give the impression of being in the cockpit of a supersonic bomber, not a yacht.

As the bridge is positioned quite high, it provides good visibility in all directions, and docking is made easier by an array of cameras connected to the multifunction display which also provides all navigational data, as well as ship data. From the bridge, an exit leads to the covered part of the upper deck, with a dining table, a large bar located between the T-roof supports, and a spacious U-shaped sofa that is partially covered by a T-top. The aft part of the upper deck is free, for freestanding deckchairs or other seating.

In navigation, wallywhy150 behaves like a classic modern navetta, piercing waves with conviction and quite calmly, but with the bow still a bit raised. Maximum speed comes up to 22.4 knots at 2450 revolutions and consumption up to 568 l/h, while the optimal cruising speed is around 13 knots (consumption 234 l/h) or just above 15 knots (consumption 341 l/h). Continuing the unmistakable Wally design, wallywhy150 is a model boasting superior aesthetic, design and quality, offering owners extreme comfort in long cruises.
