The Italian floating work of art carries the signature style of Piero Lissoni, naval architecture of Bernardo Zuccon, two genii have created the yacht brimming with smart details and elegant style solutions

Sanlorenzo SX100: A Symphony of Italian Style and Innovation

The SX series of the Italian builder Sanlorenzo introduced the concept of a crossover yacht and, in a way, created a completely new market niche. Besides the fact that this cross between the types fly bridge and open is an interesting concept, Sanlorenzo have taken it a step further, moving away from the traditional yacht style to an architectural - and dare we say – artistic one.

Piero Lissoni and Bernardo Zuccon Unveil a Masterpiece

Piero Lissoni has a lot to say about it, and when his artistic pen joins the genius that is Bernardo Zuccon, expect nothing short of a masterpiece. The new Sanlorenzo SX 100 is exactly that, and the already familiar concept has been improved to the smallest detail, with some welcome innovation, filling in the missing size within the series, whose largest model is 112 feet (SX112), and the smaller one 88 feet long (SX88).

It was owners of the SX88 who influenced the design of the new model, which now has everything that the smaller model lacked, primarily regarding the main deck master cabin, as well as a slightly larger terrace on the already spacious stern, a larger salon and a few other surprises.

The SX Series' trademark closed upper bridge offers a commanding view of the surroundings and features a modern helm and navigational aids

The unit exhibited in Cannes was decorated by Piero Lissoni himself, which gave it a special touch. At the very stern, we noticed the famous beach club platform, which on the Cannes unit was appointed with an elegant white sunbed, embodying the idea that conquered the nautical world - to be as close as possible to the sea surface.

Sofas with the same design are visible through the salon glass window. There are benches for guests on the stern cleats, and the stern lift is again hidden in the sides. Still aft, there is an additional submersible platform that allows access to the sea, with enough space for a 5.65-meter tender.

Hidden from view is the engine room, hiding four Volvo IPS 850-hp units, giving the model enough power for top speed of 23 knots, cruising speed of 20 knots, and economy-mode speed of 10 knots.

The SX100 Blurs the Lines Between Yachting and Architecture

Zuccon International Project's elegant design for the SX100 seamlessly blends into its surroundings

The most interesting element aft is the extension of the beach club platform into the closed lounge below deck, which gives this space a feeling of a larger yacht, where guests can sit in comfortable armchairs in the interior, a step away from the sea.

The curved glass that divides the lower-deck salon from the aft is really impressive, and the salon offers a small bar with chairs, a day head and holds the entrance to lower deck cabins, with a private door. There are three cabins on the lower deck; a double, a queen size, and a VIP cabin in the bow, with a slightly larger private head.

The SX100's beach club platform extends into the closed lounge below deck, creating a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor living.

The entire lower deck is visually defined by its teak ceiling. On the main deck, the cockpit area has been converted into an eliptical sofa space enjoying all-around view. On the bow, there is a large sofa, a teak table and two large sun pads, protected by a suncovers supported by carbon poles. The very top of the bow also holds two folding benches.

The salon is nothing short of an architectural wonder. On the starboard side, curved metal stairs lead to the lower deck, while on the port side, there are wooden stairs leading to the upper deck.

Spacious Accommodations and Thoughtful Design

The use of top quality materials and fluid communication between the decks leaves breathless. Sanlorenzo SX100 simply needs to be seen in person to be fully experienced. The visual feeling of space is enhanced by the large side windows too. Forward, the master cabin is the perfect representative of Sanlorenzo style, with beautiful windows, including the bow window – normally belonging to the wheelhouse, but here part of the master.

Piero Lissoni's masterful interior design for the Sanlorenzo SX100 employs a harmonious blend of light neutral tones, large mirrored surfaces, and ample natural light, creating an atmosphere of airiness and tranquility

Also available is the version with a dining room in this space. Mid-deck, a dedicated staircase leads below deck, to crew quarter; three cabins with five berths, as well as the galley. From there, another door leads to the guest cabins, a solution inspired by larger yachts.

Sanlorenzo SX100: Experience the Ultimate in Yachting Luxury

Finally, the SX Series trademark, the closed upper bridge with the command post, reminiscent of a spaceship bridge – with a wooden helm and the most modern navigational aids on an oval surface. Mid-deck, there is a round dining table, while teak on the floor and in the ceiling gives very marine style atmosphere.

The master cabin is the epitome of Sanlorenzo style, with beautiful windows and timeless elegance

When the side windows and the aft glass doors are open, this space turns into an open deck, and deckchairs can be placed aft. This new model of Sanlorenzo SX Series demonstrates in every detail the maturity of the series, bringing a welcome touch of smart luxury to the thirty-meter yacht segment, with a designed charm that is hard to resist.
