VEYA 53: A New Expression of the Power Catamaran

VEYA Yachts has introduced the VEYA 53, the first model from the new premium power-catamaran brand created by Fountaine Pajot and Couach Catamarans. Following the launch of the first hull this summer, the yacht made its world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September 2026.

Designed by Berret-Racoupeau, the 16.5-metre VEYA 53 brings together the space and stability of a multihull with the presence, comfort and attention to detail traditionally associated with premium motor yachts.

From the outset, the project has been shaped around a simple idea: creating more space for people to spend time together on the water.

The proportions of the VEYA 53 immediately distinguish her. A long waterline, lean hulls, wave-piercing bows and elongated glazing give the yacht a purposeful profile, while the multihull architecture creates generous living areas across the main deck, flybridge and exterior spaces.

Space designed around life on board

The main deck has been conceived as a continuous living environment.

At the stern, the cockpit can be arranged around a large dining area for eight guests, with direct connection to the galley and saloon. The hydraulic aft platform extends the usable living space further, functioning as a tender platform while also creating an open area close to the water when at anchor.

Inside, the galley acts as a natural link between interior and exterior. Large openings maintain the connection with the aft cockpit, while extensive glazing brings natural light throughout the saloon.
Forward, a second exterior lounge creates a quieter space away from the main cockpit. Together, these different areas allow guests to move naturally through the yacht and find their own place throughout the day.

Above, the flybridge becomes another complete living area, combining the upper helm station with generous seating, dining and a summer kitchen. Rather than treating the flybridge purely as a navigation space, VEYA has designed it as one of the principal places to spend time on board.

Comfort without compromise

Below deck, the emphasis continues on volume, privacy and everyday usability.

The owner’s suite occupies a particularly generous area and benefits from the width available within the multihull platform. Warm woods, natural materials and a restrained interior palette create an atmosphere intended to feel residential rather than overtly nautical.

Guest accommodation follows the same approach, with configurations designed for extended stays rather than occasional use alone.

A dedicated crew cabin further supports the yacht’s ability to operate comfortably over longer periods.

Throughout the VEYA 53, storage, circulation and practical details have been considered alongside the visual design. The objective is not simply to create impressive dimensions, but spaces that work naturally when the yacht is being used with family and friends.

Built in France

The VEYA 53 is built in France by Couach Catamarans, drawing on the industrial experience and naval expertise of the Couach shipyard in Gujan-Mestras.

The project combines this construction heritage with the multihull experience of Fountaine Pajot, bringing together two complementary areas of expertise within the VEYA programme.

With the first hull now on the water, the development phase has moved into real-world operation and sea trials, providing the engineering and production teams with the opportunity to validate the yacht in the conditions for which she was designed.

The result is a power catamaran focused not only on space, but on how that space is experienced: at anchor, underway and over longer periods on board.

World premiere in Cannes

The first VEYA 53 was presented to the public for the first time at the Cannes Yachting Festival, marking an important milestone for the young brand.

For VEYA, the 53 represents the starting point of a wider range of power catamarans and establishes the principles that will continue across future models: space, stability and open-air living, combined with the comfort and presence expected from a premium motor yacht.
