Absolute 52 Fly continues the successful new generation Absolute series launched with Aboslute 60 Fly, after the addition of Absolute 56 Fly last year

This year the builder delights with a smaller model, which debuted in Venice this June, and shone brightly as one of the most interesting launch of 2023 in Cannes in September. The new model may be small, but it’s very complete and mature, with several innovations that changed the 15-20-meter flybridge segment. The most interesting among them are the open cockpit and the forward master cabin.

This compact yacht delivers from the moment you step aboard, where the submersible platform doubles function as the tender carrier and a private little breach right down by the water. Next to it, there’s the entrance to the skipper’s cabin, which can easily be transformed into more storage space if you sail without extra help and is connected to the cockpit via two symmetrical staircases.

Automotive Elegance Afloat: Absolute 52 Fly’s Design Finesse

The transom is black, which gives the beach club platform a certain dose of automotive elegance, enhanced by several car-inspired details on the sides.

The cockpit has open view, allowing contact with the surroundings, and if you squint hard enough, you’ll get the feeling of flying above the water.

The cockpit furniture is freestanding and modular, with six comfortable sofas and one teak table, all ready to be combined and recombined into different shapes. The upper deck aft also boasts modular furniture and is accessible via a staircase from the main deck cockpit. The upper, fly deck is multi-functional, with a bar, a fridge, a U-shaped sofa and a dining table.

Forward, the command post is port, and a giant sunpad starboard, while on the bow deck, in front of the windshield, there is a large sunpad and with a small table. The sunpad transforms into another, forward-facing sofa, serving the table, and both can be protected from the glare by a soft top with a carbon structure.

Indoor on the main deck, the layout is classic, with the galley aft and port, visually separated from the rest of the space by a glass surface. In the central space, the salon has two sofas, one large and U-shaped and another smaller one, both starboard, and forward there is the command post with two seats, Garmin screens and a dedicated door leading outside.

Modern Meets Classic: Absolute 52 Fly’s Interior Brilliance

The entire main deck is flush with natural light thanks to surrounding glazing, and has discrete atmospheric lights in the ceiling. Below deck, Absolute 52 Fly is almost as stylish as on the main deck, with similar lighting elements and decorative mirrors that soften the atmosphere.

The master cabin is in the bow, with a private forward master bathroom (the shower cabin and the toilet are on the far ends of the bathroom), and enjoys an amazing view through giant side windows.

The VIP cabin is almost just as impressive and can double as the master, while the third, twin cabin, can be turned into a double, and shares the head with the VIP. This cabin also hides the entrance to the nice storage space under the master cabin.

This abundance of space below deck is the result of using almost exclusively sliding door, as well as moving the engine room farther aft – which is only possible with Absolute’s beloved IPS drive.Absolute 52 Fly master cabin

Unleashing Power: Absolute 52 Fly’s Dynamic Performance

Powered by two 600-hp Volvo Penta IPS 800 engines, the new Absolute 52 Fly reaches the 23-knot cruising speed at 2700 rpm (215 l/h), with excellent steering response and easily controlled trim. It is important to say that consumption always stays under 10 liters per mile, regardless of the speed, meaning that you just need to set velocity as per sea condition. While the declared top speed is 30 knots and is reachable in perfect conditions, we wouldn’t recommend it for longer cruising.

The model can be equipped with a docking assistant system, but even without it, the mighty Sidepower 215 system together with aft and bow thrusters make docking easy even for beginners. On the list of options is also Seakeeper gyro stabilizer, which was not present on the unit we tested, as are solar panels, with installation on the fly deck roof, for additional power generation.

The new Absolute 52 Fly is a mirror of everything the brand can do, and one of the most interesting models in her segment and class.
