The Marina restaurant in Punat is spread across two floors and features multiple functional areas, catering to all the needs of modern sailors
The newly renovated restaurant in Marina Punat will open its doors to visitors in October. ‘Reconstructed’ would be more precise – in October 2022, the restaurant was completely demolished, and in less than a year, a new and more modern facility emerged like a phoenix, tailored in concept and design to the new millennium.
The total seating capacity hasn’t significantly increased – it can accommodate up to 300 people, but the space is divided into two floors and several thematic and functional areas to provide a more pleasant and intimate experience.
The ground floor of the restaurant with a covered and open terrace is ideal for sipping morning coffee by the sea, as well as for brunch and light dinners. The menu offers popular ‘marenda’ (midday meals), grills, and simple dishes throughout the day, including rich salads and interesting variations of pizza during the winter months.
You’ll find the most beautiful view and a more intimate atmosphere on the upper floor – a discreetly elegant restaurant that can accommodate up to 60 people. From the restaurant and the terrace, you can enjoy a spectacular view of Puntarska draga, the docks, and luxury yachts along the promenade.
The menu is somewhat more refined, with an emphasis on freshly caught fish and slowly prepared dishes, allowing you to leisurely enjoy the view, sample island aperitifs, and consult with the sommelier about the selection from the rich wine cellar. The wine list contains about 30 well-chosen wines, mostly from small Croatian winemakers, and every selection should include at least one Žlahtina from Krk.
A novelty is the versatile hall with a capacity of about 80 people, intended for business meetings or smaller private celebrations. When combined with the restaurant, it is ideal for team building, PR and other events, as well as family gatherings or weddings.
There are charming surprises in every corner of the renovated Marina restaurant, such as a large lounge area with water-surrounded booths located on the southern side of the terrace, a well-equipped and fenced children’s playground tucked behind the lounge area, and a special corner for meetings and waiting, comfortably arranged in front of the fireplace on the ground floor of the restaurant.
Its superb location makes Marina Punat an excellent port for many boat owners, as they can enjoy annual berth services. The marina is only a few hours away from many European centres, so it is an excellent base for summer explorations of the Adriatic, but also for relaxing on weekends. The Marina is open all year round and accommodates 1,300 vessels, in the sea and on land.
