Riviera to Premiere two new motor yacht models
Superior offshore capability and extended cruising
Australia’s premium luxury motor yacht builder, Riviera, will premiere its magnificent new 68 Sports Motor Yacht and stylish and sophisticated 4800 Sport Yacht at the Genoa Boat Show this September. Riviera’s International Sales Director Chris McCafferty said the new-concept Sports Motor Yacht has been designed to offer the exhilaration of sports performance, sporting lines and a sporting cockpit. Luxurious appointments combine with the comforts of a traditional motor yacht including wide, high bulwark side decks and a massive sunken lounge area on the foredeck. ‘Riviera is synonymous internationally with hallmark luxury, innovation, blue-water sea-keeping capability and superior owner enjoyment,’ said Mr McCafferty. ‘The new Sports Motor Yacht collection is a supreme example of this.’
The cockpit of the 68 Sports Motor Yacht offers everything a sports fisher or water sports enthusiast could hope for, including a large boarding platform and twin transom doors as well as plenty of space for relaxing and entertaining. The elevated alfresco mezzanine forward of the cockpit includes a large dining area and is connected with the central U-shape gourmet galley through a stainless steel framed door and large awning window. When the door and window are opened, this area is transformed to one large lifestyle space, positioning the chef at the heart of a social environment. The accommodation deck offers two stateroom options: the four-cabin Classic or the three-cabin Grand Presidential design with full-beam master stateroom.
Riviera’s Sport Yacht hallmarks are embedded deeply in the DNA of the 4800: sleek styling, luxurious single-level living and entertaining layout and superb sea-keeping capabilities. ‘From the boarding platform and tender garage, through twin transom gates to the cockpit with its generous seating on two lounges, full wet bar and double barbecue, this is a sport yacht designed for entertaining,’ said Mr McCafferty. The command centre of the 4800 Sport Yacht features the latest Volvo Penta and Garmin Glass Cockpit navigation and systems monitoring, with two 12-inch multi-function screens. The 4800’s accommodation layout gives owners a large atrium lower lounge that can comfortably seat up to five adults and provide additional sleeping for one adult.
The luxurious master stateroom forward features large hull windows for natural lighting, a queen-size walk-around bed and a contemporary styled en suite. The guest cabin amidships features three adult-sized single beds. There’s the option of the two port side beds sliding together to create a double. A second bathroom is on the port side immediately forward of this cabin. Base power for the 4800 is the Volvo Penta D8-IPS700 propulsion system with twin D8 engines and IPS20 pod-drives (405kW/550hp each).
