Jaw-dropping Yacht Building Capabilities

The ‘Benetti Giga Season’ has officially begun: a period of great excitement and activity for the shipyard. Over the next few months, Benetti will be under the spotlight of the yachting industry as 3 giga yachts, each one over 100 meters in length, will be launched in Livorno. This first one is FB277. With a steel hull and aluminum superstructure, it measures 107 meters in length. She has a beam of 15.2-meters and a full load displacement of 3,300 tons. FB277 has been designed entirely by Benetti and built in collaboration with Imperial Yachts, who were in charge of the project’s management and supervision, on behalf of the owner. In the meantime shipyard successfully launched FB272, a steel yacht with aluminium superstructure, the second vessel to demonstrate its jaw-dropping new giga yacht building capabilities. Benetti has recently delivered the 49-meter full custom mega yacht M/Y ‘Elaldrea+’ to her owner.

The distinctive features of the M/Y Elaldrea + exterior lines include the spacious beach club, the 115-square-meter flybridge and plenty of space for the dining and sunbathing areas

Sleek, streamlined exterior lines designed by Argentinian architect Horacio Bozzo are matched by exquisite interiors decorated by the Benetti Style Department. A 63m full custom yacht ‘Metis’ also entered the water for the very first time. She has exteriors designed by Giorgio M. Cassetta and interiors by Bannenberg & Rowell and Birgit Otte Interior Design. The distinctive feature of ‘Metis’ is the innovative layout of the living areas and the owner’s apartment, which covers a surface of over 160 square meters and is filled with natural light that floods in through huge glazed surfaces around its perimeter. For the 19th year running, Azimut|Benetti Group confirms its place in the highly-reputed Global Order Book ranking as the world’s top builder of mega yachts, with 97 projects totaling 3,536 meters in length under construction, far exceeding the other players. The Group ended the 2017/18 yachting season with value of production standing at €850 million (+18% on the previous year).
