The Cannes Yachting Festival, Europe’s premier in-water boat show, is set to open from September 9 to 14 on the French Riviera. This key event draws yachting enthusiasts and curious visitors to explore the world’s finest motor and sailing vessels, a testament to its draw of 55,000 visitors last year.
In a rapidly evolving sector focused on innovation and energy transition, the festival provides a crucial platform for global boat builders and manufacturers to showcase their expertise and latest solutions. Across the Vieux Port and Port Canto, over 600 exhibitors will display some 700 boats ranging from 5 to 50 meters, including diverse hull types and cutting-edge electric or hybrid propulsion, alongside a wide array of equipment and services.
This year, the festival will highlight major market trends through initiatives like The Innovation Route, focusing on advancements in eco-design and alternative engines. The layout is also refined for better visitor flow: the Vieux Port hosts larger motor yachts, while Port Canto is divided into distinct Sailing, Power Boat Marina, and Yacht Brokerage & Toys areas, ensuring a smoother, more organized experience.
Sylvie Ernoult, Director of the Cannes Yachting Festival, emphasizes the event’s role as a vital industry platform for launches and networking. She notes, ‘Our mission is to offer an exceptional setting for the sector to present new products and meet customers. We continue to champion the industry’s excellence, enhancing the visitor experience with new entrance layouts and improved sea shuttle services.’
